Financial Awareness Day – what is adult childcare credit?
August 14 marks Financial Awareness Day 2019, and we thought what better way to celebrate, than to provide you with some top tips around adult childcare credits?!
The legislation was introduced by the coalition government in 2011, which entitles some relatives looking after children – under the age of 12 – to a top-up allowance on their state pension.
It is estimated that 100,000 people could be eligible to receive this, but over 80% are missing out.
This not only allows parents to get back to work, but it also means those stepping up to assist with childcare are being provided with any additional support they may need.
