Our USP’s

Our internal company mantra is ‘DTD’. That stands for Doing Things Differently. For too long now, the broker market has dined out on largely feeding the consolidators, something we believe has created an imbalance. Cultural alignment has often taken a backseat and quality local acquirers have felt overlooked.

We agree terms with the party we are representing to ensure there can be no ambiguity regarding who we are acting for. This is crucial in providing the best outcomes for those seeking an exit strategy, as it means we can access any firm with an appetite for acquiring, rather than simply those willing to sign broker terms.

Typically, brokers will claim to provide a ‘free’ service to vendors – with the acquirer picking up the tab. However, we know the service is not free in the truest sense of the word. In truth, any broker fee paid is a cost of sale, and factored into the financial offer accordingly.

In addition, the seller is locked out of potentially more suitable and lucrative opportunities because the acquirer in question hasn’t signed broker terms.

By removing the ambiguity of who we are acting for – and not simply making introductions to those who have agreed terms – we can provide our clients with the best range of options in the market.

City & Capital Acquisitions is a qualitative based broker. In fact, we don’t believe in benchmarking our success on KPIs or aggressive sales tactics, which could encourage improper behaviour. Instead, we are a team of experienced industry professionals driven by ethical core values. We work as a collective – pooling our knowledge and experience to represent our clients in the most effective way.

And, if now is not the right time for you to proceed, we understand that too. It’s important to move at your own pace, and we look forward to hopefully having the opportunity to work with you at the most appropriate time for you and your business.

We understand that some consolidation within the sector has resulted in high levels of client and adviser attrition. This is why we apply our ‘DNA’ formula to ensure any introduction we make is done with ethical intentions and with buyer, seller, and client outcomes at heart.

The capability of our directors is unrivalled in this sector. Our combined experience includes previous advisory firm owners and directors who have attained Chartered status both personally and at firm level. In fact, our collective expertise has resulted in over 100 successfully integrated M&A transactions to date.

We’re confident in saying the way we will represent you as an M&A Partner will always be of the highest quality – from the documentation we create and our secure internal processes, through to having those difficult conversations other firms may shy away from. We pride ourselves on an unrivalled level of professionalism from start to finish.

We are thought leaders too, and regularly provide industry commentary for UK and international news publications. We’re passionate about what we do, and truly care about the profession, and it’s humbling to be recognised as galvanising the industry in causes which could negatively impact quality firms and client outcomes.

We’ve worked hard to build strong relationships with trusted, industry-leading professionals too. These experts can assist you in navigating areas relating to law, tax planning, compliance and due diligence – enabling us to offer a true 360 degree service.
