Meet Frankie Johnson – The City & Capital Group’s Financial Services Consultant
As recruitment specialists, we’re proud to say we know how to pick the perfect candidate! One such example is Frankie Johnson, our financial services consultant, who specialises in executive search and headhunting on behalf of our clients.
Summarise your role in one paragraph:
I’m responsible for headhunting brilliant candidates within the financial services sector. This involves spending time speaking with people to find out exactly what they are looking for in their new role, as well as learning about their past successes and achievements. This helps me to create the perfect match between candidates and clients.
What’s the best part of your job?
I enjoy communicating with people and learning more about their career history – it’s always interesting to see how people get into the financial services industry, and why they have continued to work in it.
What makes The City & Capital Group stand out from its competitors?
I’ve never been a part of such an inclusive firm, where everyone’s opinions count and we all work together. I think my happiness shines through when I’m speaking or meeting with people, and that is because of the culture at The City & Capital Group.
What three words do you think best describes City & Capital?
Dynamic, inclusive, fun.
And what three words do you think your colleagues would use to describe you?
Driven, empathetic, tenacious (in a good way)!
If one of your colleagues could win an award (industry or office-related) who would it be and why?
I would nominate our managing director, Stuart Hicks, for his mentorship. This is because he has pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me proud of my work. Despite his position in the business, he always has time for us.
The phone rings and it’s your dream enquiry – who would the client be?
Alan Sugar. I’d love to help him recruit his new apprentice!
What is the biggest challenge facing the industry over the next 12 months?
Brexit – most people will probably say this, but there’s just no getting away from it at the moment!
How do you wind-down during the weekend?
Stay in my pyjamas and talk to my two cats – Mittens the second and Ziggy Stardust.
Share an interesting fact about you that not many people know?
I have an app on my phone that plays aeroplane cabin noise all night – I can’t sleep without it! On the plus side, as soon as I get on a plane, I fall asleep instantly.
